I've experienced something similar; my boss and I were having a private conversation during a break. When it's in front of everyone, you really feel humiliated.

You said to take the job seriously, but what kind of mistake did you make for it to blow up like this? It seems like there's some missing information.

If you experience such a situation again, clearly state that you want to talk privately. Instead of swallowing it in silence, stay calm and express this request.

@hatconene actually the mistake was pretty simple. I sent the wrong document in the email but I corrected it immediately, I didn't understand this reaction.

I think it's time to stop looking back, you've already made amends. But when you stay silent, this behavior becomes normalized; at some point, you need to draw a line.

Since it exploded in public, what will change if I tell someone in the team about it? I think in that environment, it should have been asked, "Why did you respond so harshly?" Otherwise, no matter what support you get, this will happen again 🫠
