My girlfriend wants cosmetic treatment for skin blemishes

My girlfriend has been looking at her face in the mirror more carefully for a few days now, and I noticed yesterday that she seems a bit fixated on some skin spots. She told me, 'Maybe I can fix it with aesthetics.' To be honest, I was a bit surprised because it's not a problem for me at all, but she seems to feel bad about it. Do you think such a thing should be supported? If it will make her happy, she can go ahead, but on the other hand, it also seems like there's no need for it.

I think the main issue isn't that it's not a problem for you, but how they see themselves. If someone wants to go for it willingly, why should they be held back? 🙂

I gotta say something, but could there be another side to this? Like, did they hear something from someone else or did someone around them say something? It's weird that they suddenly brought it up 🤦‍♀️

@makarnaoncesi come on, not everyone should turn to aesthetics; instead of addressing self-confidence issues through conversation, why go straight for surgery? 🙄

My girlfriend also had laser treatment for skin spots at one point, and the results turned out pretty good, but the process was troublesome. She walked around with her face peeling for weeks. If she's mentally prepared, provide support, of course, but I think you should also discuss the hassle of it 🙄

For spots, generally procedures like laser or chemical peeling are recommended instead of surgery. These are relatively minor interventions, but a dermatologist or aesthetic physician should definitely evaluate them. Not every spot is the same.

@yazipsildim yeah, okay, but you can't just brush it off as a lack of self-confidence; it's not easy to get hung up on something in the mirror every day. Everyone has different coping methods.
