My girlfriend texted her ex, do you think it’s normal?

A few days ago, I saw my girlfriend's messages with her ex on her phone. She wrote something like, 'It's been a long time since we last chatted,' and there was nothing bad in it, but why did she feel the need to message him? I didn't ask her, but it's eating me up inside. Do you think I should pursue it, or should I not make a big deal out of it?

My ex-girlfriend had once messaged her old friend too, and I got really angry and confronted her about it. It turned out it was something related to the girl's family, and I regretted it. But if she's being honest, why did she hide it?

The issue of whether this was written isn’t that bad, but hiding it would bother me. Ask yourself, is he hiding something, or is he afraid of upsetting you?

He might not have even wanted to explain this, so why are you stirring things up? I mean, you're saying there's nothing wrong in the writings, so I don't think it's right to blow it out of proportion like this 🤦‍♀️

Writing to an ex... usually goes like this: people may not have completely closed the chapter on their past. But the important thing here is continuity. Are they establishing a connection to the past without ever letting go of you, or have they written to you in the present? Ask yourself this question 🙂

Let me add, there was no correspondence among them that was flirtatious or inappropriate. Just "how are you" and such. But shouldn't he have shared this with me before doing something like that?

Respect is essential in a relationship, even if there's no marriage. How can you trust someone who hasn't moved on from past issues with this girl? Today it's a message, tomorrow it will be an excuse for coffee.

If he only wrote 'how are you', maybe it was just on a whim. Guys sometimes get stuck on such weird memories, but I think you should definitely ask. A friend of ours had a really messy situation happen later.

Seeing it on your phone... that moment, you know, your heart is pounding like this, and you feel a tightness in your stomach. How did you endure that moment? You never asked? Seriously, hats off.
