3The Berlin offer doesn’t come every day, so the relationship would somehow continue anyway, but honestly, it’s a bit concerning that your partner just cut things off like that.
You say it’s a 3-year relationship, but why doesn’t this guy ever think about coming to Berlin? Is there really no job opportunity for him there or something? 
While sitting at home instead of taking the flight to Berlin, every time that missed opportunity comes to mind, looking at your partner and secretly imagining it would be a really exhausting process, honestly.
