My girlfriend even wanted my location while going to the market

Recently, they constantly want to know where I am. They get upset when I don't share my location, saying things like "Am I thinking wrong?" but it really feels like I’m being controlled. I'm starting to feel paranoid, wondering if this is a lack of trust or if they're hiding something from me. Do you think I'm overreacting, or is this a normal relationship behavior?

How long has he/she been acting like this, for example? Was it like this at first or did it start recently? Sometimes an event can be a trigger. Did something like that happen? 😂

I think you should just sit down and talk openly. For example, explain in detail the part about 'how this situation makes me feel.' But without blaming, you know, let them realize that feeling of control. Be relaxed but clear 🥲

Every day, there's a request for location from here. It's literally suffocating. Living life as if you're constantly reporting to someone is exhausting. Especially if you're not sending it when they want, that's just the cherry on top. It's a very familiar situation.

This is generally associated with trust issues or a controlling personality. If it is a healthy relationship, the individual is more likely to express clearly if there is something that makes them feel unsafe. However, if this dimension has turned into 'constant monitoring,' it may be necessary to consult a professional and discuss boundaries.

Isn't the phrase 'am I thinking wrong' very ironic? First, they put pressure on you, then they act like you're the paranoid one by sulking. No offense, but these behaviors clearly indicate a trust issue. Your reactions are important too, of course, but this seems a bit much.

let me add that this started about a month or two ago. It wasn't like this at first. Recently, things like 'where are you, why aren't you writing' have increased. For example, they got really mad a couple of times because I didn't share my location 🫢

Okay, but do you just go about your business like this without giving a heads-up before sending your location? Look, it might be simply for a sense of security, not just for you. I think it seems like something that doesn't need to be blown out of proportion. Are you being overly sensitive?

"My daughter, this job flows with such control at the beginning, do you know how it ends? You're always giving explanations, then it makes you forget your own life. You need to accept that you are an individual. Speak clearly, everything will fall into place. Just say, 'This is too much for me' openly 😬"

There's something else going on here. For instance, is he trying to relax by blaming you for something he did? Or did someone treat him like this before and cause him trauma? He seems scared of something, but what? 😅
