Could the pain in the back be related to the kidneys?

I've had a pain on the right side of my back since yesterday, and I feel it especially when I breathe. I know I shouldn't keep searching the internet, but the more I read, the more I'm starting to fear it could be a kidney problem. Should I wait a few more days or go to the doctor right away? I don't feel at ease, but am I overreacting?

I also had a stabbing pain in my right side for a while; it felt terrible when I breathed. I had a muscle spasm, but it went away with a muscle relaxant. But if it's something kidney-related, that's different. Does it burn when you urinate?

I think you've exaggerated a bit. Just because there's pain in your back doesn't mean it's necessarily your kidneys. When you look things up online, every flu symptom points to cancer or something, and you're really stressing yourself out for no reason.

Pain related to the kidneys generally radiates from the back to the waist and occurs as severe cramping. However, if there is pain during breathing, it could be related to the lungs or muscles. I think it would be beneficial for you to see a doctor because both situations should not be overlooked.

Let me update you: I felt a bit weird in my stomach this morning after eating something salty. But my back still hurts. I tried a hot water bottle, and it seems to have helped a bit. So I'm thinking it's not from my kidneys, but I'm not sure.

I think there's something else going on here. It seemed strange to me that your friend said "your shoulder is locked." Why would they try to relieve it directly? Are you experiencing something stressful these days? Your body could be reacting 😬

When we usually say there's pain in the breath, we men brush it off as just a chill, but women tend to be more sensitive about it. You might be stressing out a bit too much about this. If it's muscle pain, it will go away on its own, but if you're not sure, it's best to see a doctor.

I'm serious with those who say "just wait and see." Why would someone with a backache for a week just wait? What will you do if something bad comes up then? Go see a doctor, you'll sort it out.
