Story wrote 'You're wandering around', I got mad

I had shared a photo while wandering around on Instagram, and my cousin DM’d me saying, ‘You’re always out and about, how’s work going?’ I’m still not sure if that comment is a direct criticism or a playful jab. I’m already working hard, with work constantly on my mind. What should I say to him so it doesn’t escalate later on?

I think this comment is kind of a subtle jab. Also, asking how things are going feels a bit like questioning someone

Has your cousin done the same before? Or is this the first time?

@soncaykaldi actually did it, last month he had written something similar but I brushed it off.

Whatever you write, why aren’t you choosing your story carefully then? You know the family after all.

my aunt would always say, ‘wow, you travel a lot, do you have money?’ in stories. I took it seriously once, then I dismissed it. let her see.

don’t reply, just let it go.

Messages like this are usually passive-aggressive and can be rooted in jealousy or judgment. If you reply, keep it very brief and to the point, don’t elaborate.
