Do these excessively wide-leg pants seem weird only to me?

I see it everywhere, everyone has started wearing these super baggy and long pants that practically sweep the floor. My height isn't very short, but honestly, it feels like they would totally overwhelm me. I have no idea how to style these things. I don't want to just get excited about it and then end up using it as a dust cloth at home. Is there anyone among you who rocks them?
