My face was ruined during quarantine, how can I restore it to its former state?

I had very stressful days in quarantine and my skin literally revolted, especially my chin and cheeks filled with acne. Now we are getting back to normal, but I just can’t figure out how to return to my old skin. Are weekly masks or serums more effective? Also, do you know any simple yet effective mask I can make at home?

I experienced the same thing, my chin was a mess during quarantine. Stress literally messed up my skin balance. I started doing a weekly clay mask, but I really noticed a difference when I used a serum, especially one containing tea tree oil. It helped to improve it even just a little, I recommend you try a serum too

Honestly, the excuse for stress is a bit much. If you’ve constantly been touching your face, or not wearing your mask properly, those could also trigger it. Your skin might be craving clean air too, maybe think about that.

I know all about those breakouts on the chin and cheeks. For me, it was triggered by friction while wearing a mask. It’s called ‘maskne.’ I cleansed my skin, but it got worse after using harsh products. When I switched to a gentle cleanser, it got better; just stay away from strong stuff.

During very stressful periods, the skin barrier can be compromised, which invites acne. Both weekly masks and serums are effective, but the fundamental solution is to apply a moisturizer and repair the barrier. A proper moisturizer and SPF protection are essential. If it gets worse, consult a dermatologist.

Actually, I bought tea tree oil but I didn’t know how to use it. Do you apply it directly or do you mix it? Also, I used to do harsh scrubs, my skin was used to it, so I’m wondering if that’s why it got worse.

Are you sure this sudden deterioration is just due to stress? I think your eating habits must have completely changed in quarantine. I’d be surprised if you haven’t started eating sugary things. We seriously piled up on pasta; I suggest you check it.

Tea tree oil isn’t a miracle cure for everything. If you apply it directly, it can burn; you need to mix it. Besides, if you’re used to harsh things like peels, you’ve really stressed your skin. So first, calm it down, and then it will recover.
