My friend got embarrassed when he put the tampon on wrong

My friend tried using a tampon while on her period, but I don’t know how it went for her, she must have inserted it wrong. Then she figured out what had happened in the bathroom and it was a total panic. She told the story on social media, but some people didn’t take it seriously.
I thought about using tampons, but now I’m even more scared. Is it really that hard?

I also had some trouble when I first used it. It’s part of being a beginner. But once you learn it correctly, it won’t be a problem, don’t worry.

So what exactly happened when you put it on wrong? Was it painful, or was it that you couldn’t remove the bumper?

@cokdaseyapma yes, it was a bit painful but what really scared him/her was thinking he/she wouldn’t be able to get it out

@makarnaoncesi not everyone’s experience is that easy, you know, these things can have serious consequences

misplaced insertion can increase the risk of infection. If unsure, be sure to consult a healthcare professional.

What is it about telling the incident on social media? Privacy is completely gone.

I think it’s been blown out of proportion, just a normal mistake :woman_shrugging:

It’s funny how you’re emphasizing the embarrassing event rather than the issue in the title. It sounds more like gossip than a solution.

@benbisorayim you’re right, but can everyone go to a healthcare worker without shame? At least they could get information at the pharmacy.
