The other day, I saw my friends sitting in the sea with a pad during their period at the beach. Is this normal? I’ve never done that, but it seems a bit strange to me. Do you think people can do things like this? What should I do, or am I overreacting?

this was done by one of my friends in the neighborhood when we were kids, and when his mother heard, she made a huge fuss. since then, I learned that using tampons during my period is better.

I don’t think that’s healthy; there’s a risk of infection because the pad absorbs water. If you need to swim, it’s essential to use a tampon or menstrual cup.

If they want to swim during their period, the most sensible options are either a tampon or a menstrual cup. Using pads is simply illogical; you won’t be comfortable.
