I wear plus sizes, is it possible for me to keep up with fashion?

I wear a size 42 and I see minimal and elegant outfits on social media, but I can't find clothes in that style. Plus-size clothing always seems to be in the same mold. Do you think there's a way I can be stylish without exceeding my budget? Am I asking for too much?

I swear, take a look at Mango's Violeta collection for size 42. They have both simple and modern pieces. I think H&M's plus-size section is nice as well. You don't have to be a stylist; you can create outfits with basic t-shirts and cardigans or similar things.

I don't think you should feel pressured to conform to fashion no matter what your body size is. Fashion is determined by whom, anyway? The fact that plus sizes are always produced in the same mold is entirely the industry's imposition, and you are not bound to that.

Actually, a size 42 isn't all that extraordinary anymore; it's available in most brands. In fact, there are more companies expanding their size range. Besides, the minimal outfits you mentioned are usually made up of basic pieces, which you can find anywhere.

So what exactly are you unable to find? For instance, is the fit not right, or are you having trouble finding certain pieces? Because when you mention minimal and elegant, it usually brings to mind straight cuts and plain colors. Are you perhaps looking for very special pieces?

Actually, I had looked at H&M and Mango like you said, but the sizes run out quickly. I seem to be finding minimal pieces, but I'm not very happy with the fabric quality. Maybe I'm mixing things up, let me research the things you suggested again.

I also was a size 44 at one point and went through the same issue. I felt like I was condemned to unnecessary beaded and sequined clothes. In the end, I bought basic things from LCW and Koton and turned them into stylish outfits with small touches. For example, long shirts over black pants and a bold necklace can really save the look.

I think you should totally forget about Zara's TRF section. But there are these types of more spacious and comfortable products on foreign websites, and check the links to the outfits on Pinterest. The pieces they use always come from somewhere 😳

So they say they want a budget, but at the same time, they talk about 'minimal, elegant' and all that... Even if it's plus size, it's usually hard to find things that fit well in this style, and they tend to be expensive. Isn't it a bit difficult if you're not willing to compromise on some things from the start?
