Three weeks before the wedding, my family is putting pressure on me

The wedding preparations have started, but my family keeps pressuring me by asking, 'When are you getting married?' I want to feel free about my own decisions, but this forced sense of well-being is stressing me out. Especially with the wedding approaching, the pressure increases, which makes me think. What should I do?

Before the wedding, my mom kept asking, 'Is everything okay, look?' At some point, I just stopped responding. It didn’t help much, but my mind got a bit clearer. Maybe you could try ignoring it?

Is the family always this chaotic, or is it just because of the wedding right now? It makes a difference.

@iki_dakika related to the wedding, they're not usually like this. Just during this period, I mean.

Not responding to @makarnaoncesi is a bad idea. Then they really come at you. I think you should openly ask them what their problem is.

I can say that this is normal wedding stress, but if the family is putting too much pressure, it would be good for someone to step in as a mediator. For example, a sibling or a trusted relative. You won’t constantly have to explain yourself.

I think you should focus on your work without listening to anyone.

They are probably acting with the mindset of 'we are doing our part,' but they don't realize how overwhelmed you are. Seize a moment of clarity, and calmly say, "trust me, I have everything under control." Not overreacting might help.

A wedding is something that should already be under your control, so why do you have to convince the family? The real question is: Are you the one feeling the pressure or are they forcing you to do this whether they want to or not? If you didn't set this boundary from the beginning, it will be difficult for you to sort things out now.

We need to clarify the perception in the family that "we're just trying to help." Is it help, or is it intervention? The line is blurry because.

Did you tell your fiancé these things? What does he say? Maybe a two-sided solution can be found, it shouldn't be just your burden.

I think you should take a step back and ask yourself this question: Is this pressure really solution-oriented, or is it control-oriented? Because what seems like support sometimes turns into an attitude of "you will listen to me." If you don't draw a clear line, this will continue even after the wedding.

But if everyone tries to come up with a solution at the same time, it will create more chaos. They should choose one person, and all discussions should proceed from there. Otherwise, you'll feel overwhelmed, and what they say will remain unresolved.
