My wife can't sleep at night due to fear of childbirth

My wife talks about childbirth day and night, she is constantly worried. I wonder how the birth will go, but her situation is affecting me as well. We are sleepless at night and I am tense too, do you think this is normal?

Have you talked about this with your spouse? Did you suggest going to the doctor?

@kahvebitmeden we talked a couple of times, he doesn't want to go to the doctor, he says it's still too early...

@biseydiycem but emotional things like this are normal during pregnancy, I didn't see anything exaggerated.

my wife was terrified the first time, then she worried, 'is it always going to be like this?' We said we'll go in and come out. Everything should be ready for the birth, give us confidence 😅

Actually, there is something called fear of childbirth (tokophobia), and it can have not only psychological but also physiological effects. That’s why it’s important for her to share this issue with her doctor in some way. She shouldn’t think it’s too early.

@aklimkaldi since she's not going to the doctor, you could suggest that she read positive experiences about childbirth. At least maybe it will relax her a bit.
