When I went to the hairdresser today, I asked for a light brown shade, but they dyed my hair a more blonde color. I got home, my spouse saw it and said, 'Wasn't this supposed to be brown?' I felt really down, and I don't even want to look in the mirror right now. Is it better to get the color fixed or should I just get used to it?
Last month I experienced the same thing; I had asked for ash brown coffee, and my hair turned into something like bright orange. At first, I thought I'd get used to it, but it didn't happen, so the next day I went to the hairdresser to fix it. They immediately brought the color back to normal, but my hair got a bit damaged.
Did you show a clear reference image while talking to the hairdresser? Sometimes when you explain it with words, they seem to misunderstand. 🤷♀️

As an expert on the subject, I can say this: the adjustment of light brown and yellowish tones is closely related to the current condition of the hair and how it appears under light. If there is a root color or if a bleaching process has not been done, it is normal for the hairdresser to struggle to achieve the desired tone. But it should have been worked on visually.

If they were mocking you, why did you stay quiet? They might think you're not taking it seriously if you remain unresponsive. If you had shown that you were uncomfortable, maybe they wouldn't do the same thing again 🙄
