The messages he sent to his old friend seem very strange to me

My spouse has been engrossed in texting on their phone in the evenings for the past few days. When I saw them suddenly laughing yesterday, I got curious and asked what they were talking about. They ran into an old friend and were reminiscing about the good old days. But the messages seemed a bit too personal to me. They were writing things like, 'What wonderful days they were,' and keep referring to memories. I don’t know if I’m overreacting, but honestly, I feel a bit jealous. Do you think this kind of thing is normal, or should I be concerned?

I think it's completely natural for you to be jealous; after all, there's someone who shares sincere memories with your partner. I mean, old friends are fine, but it feels strange to me when they say, 'those were beautiful days.' I think they need to talk about this with you, so don't keep it bottled up.

@mehmetberk we talked a bit, but he didn't say anything clear. He just brushed it off by saying, 'You're exaggerating.' I didn't push it any further, but it didn't sit well with me.

@sude34 I think you’re exaggerating, what's the big deal? Is there anything wrong with reminiscing about the good old days? Everyone has a past, it seems silly to look for ulterior motives in things like this.

I just don't understand, the guy just wrote to an old friend. Did you say ex-girlfriend or something? If that's not the case, you're making too big of a deal out of this. Think about it, if you sent a message to an old friend, would your partner react like this?
