Girls, I’ve been uncomfortable with my nose for years, but I’ve never had the courage because of fear. My boyfriend hinted the other day that his ex-girlfriend was very beautiful, and I totally got stuck on that. Do you think I’m making a mistake for considering a surgery because of this, or should I go for it? What would you do if you were in my place?

5How long has your boyfriend been talking like this? Has he been constantly comparing you to his ex lately, or is this a one-time thing? I think this is important because if he normally never does that, it might just be a slip of the tongue or something ![]()
Sometimes men unknowingly let such things slip. When they say ‘It was very beautiful,’ it might not be meant to pressure you, but rather as a fleeting memory in their mind. However, if they keep saying things like this, then it’s worth questioning their intentions. Self-confidence shouldn’t be shattered like that.
What kind of logic is this? Just because a guy said something, are we immediately at the point of asking ‘should I get plastic surgery’? So, should we shape ourselves according to every man’s brain? Do we need to feel the pressure of ‘am I prettier than someone else’ before meeting? ![]()
If you’ve been uncomfortable with your nose for years and it’s truly making you unhappy, you might consider cosmetic surgery, but this decision shouldn’t be just for someone else. Additionally, it’s important to have multiple consultations with cosmetic surgeons and to feel psychologically ready as well. This process should be something that makes you happy, not out of anxiety.
Thanks for the comments, girls, I’ve really thought it over. I think my boyfriend didn’t actually say that on purpose, but I got too hung up on it. My nose has been something I’ve thought about for years, and I guess the whole thing was triggered by his comment. Now I’m trying to normalize it and think calmly.
