To be honest, I don't find it that sincere because I don't know who their followers are. If I told them directly, would I come off as too sensitive? I think you should just say it directly, this isn't about being sensitive or anything. Especially as you said, sharing things in a groggy state isn't nice at all. You're saying it's unclear who your followers are; I believe this is a clear violation of boundaries.
The whole story thing is really a hassle. I had a friend who would always pull out his phone and take pictures in social settings. One day I explicitly told him, 'You shouldn't take pictures of me.' He took it quite seriously. Don't worry, he won't take offense, just make sure to speak in a calm tone 😳

But for example, it doesn't seem like the roommate is doing this with bad intentions. After all, social media use is very common these days. Maybe the subject is being a bit too sensitive? Since you're not being sincere, I think you should leave a window open for them as well.
Just because you live in the same house with someone doesn't mean everything should be laid bare. The inside of the house is private. There used to be none of this; no one interfered with anyone else's shoes or pajamas. Now, everyone has started to expose each other, which is quite a corruption.
