I couldn't understand the messages with her ex-boyfriend

My girlfriend said she was messaging her ex when I asked her why she hadn't posted a story for a few days. Moreover, their past is a bit problematic. Should I see this as a move against me? I don't want to get stuck in the past, but it bothers me. What do you think I should do?

My partner was also still talking to his ex, and I was pretty jealous, but I never suppressed it. Later, I found out that the issue with her wasn't fully resolved. I’m not saying there’s definitely something going on, but it generally indicates unresolved issues. I think you should sit down and talk.

Did he directly say he was texting his ex-girlfriend? It seems like he easily shares what he's doing. Is this worse or better, in your opinion?

@camkenari yes, he said it directly, but when I mentioned I was uncomfortable, he said, "we only talked to clear the past." It still feels very strange.

If it gets cleaned up as you talk, what about the past? @aklimkaldi you can’t just brush it off like that. Did you clearly say you were uncomfortable, or are you just keeping it all inside?

There's something else going on here, but it doesn't necessarily require a fight to resolve. I mean, if the messaging isn't over, they might not be telling the whole story. I suggest you gently press them on it.

Maybe in the past their love was a deep bond, alright. But you’re the person of the present. A healthy relationship can't be maintained with someone who doesn’t appreciate your worth. They need to realize this.

Previous wounds and unresolved issues from past relationships can impose certain burdens on a person's new relationship. "Clearing the past" is psychologically possible, but constant communication is not the right method. Speak openly and, if necessary, offer to interrupt.

there's messaging, the past is 'problematic'. the issue is clear.
