Is Halalar interfering too much in my private life, or am I being overly sensitive?

Lately, my relatives are constantly talking about my relationships and marriage plans, even making comments on social media. My mom isn't saying anything; it seems like she's supportive. Should I draw a line, or could I be blowing this out of proportion? How do you think I should handle this?

I went through the same situation, honestly I was still struggling to have a photo of myself without interruptions. They were constantly nagging me about why I went on vacation with my boyfriend or why I wrote this under that. To be honest, I drew a line and told them directly to their faces. At first, I felt bad, but later I felt relieved; I recommend it.

It's really such a boring situation. Especially with the comments on social media, it honestly makes you feel down. No matter which photo I posted, I'd get some kind of comment; you really think twice about what to post. I had found someone who really understood me and talked with them, you should open up to someone too; they might support you.

You definitely need to set boundaries. I suggest you sit down and talk it out openly. In fact, have your mom there too, since you said she supports you. Clearly state what you want, starting with something like, 'I'm uncomfortable with these kinds of things, please don't interfere in my private life.' 😮‍💨

I think this is a very common situation in our society. Still, there's the aunt, uncle, they're all involved. To them, it's 'constructive criticism,' but to us, it's excessive criticism. Most likely, they think they're looking out for you; they don't understand personal space. You need to clearly say to them, 'this makes me uncomfortable.'

The issue of boundaries in familial relationships is quite problematic for us socially. They often don't seem to think there is such a concept as personal space. Even making a comment on social media is perceived as an attempt to demonstrate these 'family ties.' However, as an individual, setting boundaries is both healthy and necessary.

By the way, there's a situation where my aunts interfere in everything, but honestly, sometimes I keep quiet just to avoid a direct fight. Just this week, they said something like, 'You've gained some weight; won't your boyfriend be bothered by that?' I really got annoyed.

Come on guys, is this really something to make a big deal out of? I think the approaches of his mother and aunts are quite normal. If you're going to post something on social media, you have to expect some comments. Be a little open to criticism, it's family after all. If you can't even handle this, then don't share anything at all.
