Should I get my eyebrows permanently done? My mom is strongly against it.

I have been trying to fill in my eyebrows for a long time, and I’ve decided to get permanent makeup. But my mom insists on my natural eyebrows, saying don’t do things that you can’t go back from. On one hand, I don’t want to upset her, but on the other hand, I think this is my face after all. Do you think I should listen to my mom here or should I assert my own will?

I got permanent eyebrows done, and for the first 3-4 days, I literally didn’t recognize myself in the mirror; it was very dark. But then it settled in and I’m quite happy with it. My mom didn’t want me to do it at first, but once she saw the nice result, she accepted it. I think you should consult an expert; they can show you what would suit your face.

So I can’t say your mom is completely wrong now. For example, you might get your eyebrows thick because it’s in fashion, and then the trend shifts to thin, and you’re left in the middle. These things are irreversible; if you regret it and become obsessive about it, it’ll be even worse. I’d suggest you think a bit more.

These permanent makeup applications are actually not permanent; they are semi-permanent. They usually fade completely within an average of two years. If you’re concerned about naturalness, you can opt for techniques like microblading. If the pigment is chosen according to your skin’s undertone, very natural results can be achieved.

Update: I actually don’t want anything too thick or different, I just want to fill in the sparse areas. But when my mom said not to get it done, we couldn’t even talk about it. I don’t know, maybe I can explain it better to her before getting it done.

It seems like there might be another fear your mom has here. For instance, what if she thinks there’s a harmful substance in that makeup, or she’s worried you might misunderstand her? I think you should sit down and have a serious conversation, maybe something else could come up.
