Last week, I went to the hairdresser just to get the ends trimmed, but they literally cut it to shoulder length. Now when I look in the mirror, it brings me down, but I didn’t argue just for the sake of it. My friends post things like this on social media to warn people. Do you think I should share it? Or should these kinds of things stay private?

6These things can’t just be trusted because I’m only getting my split ends trimmed. You should have clearly said, ‘I don’t want more than 1 cm off, and if there’s any mess, I want my money back.’ Sometimes hairdressers try to take charge because if you give in, you can end up with results like this.
Ahh my girl, I’ve been through the same thing once. I swear I told him straight up, the guy took away my curls. But I said it directly back then, and he made it right. I think instead of dealing with it on social media, just go talk to him. People make mistakes, but it’s possible to fix them.
I’ll be frank, you share some of the blame too. You can’t have missed the fact that you were cutting at shoulder height. It’s a bit strange to think about whether I should intervene at that moment or share it now. Were you looking to solve the problem, or were you just trying to stir things up?
If you are unhappy with a business in such situations, you should first report the issue to them in writing and request a resolution. Sharing on social media before reaching out to an authorized platform could unfairly damage the business’s reputation, so be careful.
At that moment, I clearly said “I’m taking from the ends,” I even agreed with the length he showed with his hand, but then I realized he had cut quite a bit more. I didn’t like to argue, so I kept quiet at that moment. But now, as I look at it, it really makes me angry, I don’t know if it can be fixed.
Don’t you have that horrible feeling when you look in the mirror? That’s why I’m going through a hairdresser trauma. You wake up in the morning, and your hair is super short. You keep trying to gather it, but it doesn’t even look like it’s up. But when you share it on social media, it seems like it just makes you even more upset; I think it’s not a solution, it brings stress.
