The hairdresser messed with my hair, I told them to trim the ends but they cut it all off

My hair ends were really damaged, I just wanted to tidy them up a bit. They literally cut it down to my shoulders. I had waited and grown it out for so long, and now all my plans have changed. I feel so insecure with short hair. What do you think I can do to handle this situation? Is long hair cooler or does short hair make a difference too?

‘I know better than you,’ my hairdresser once said. I mean, even when someone’s hair is being cut, their nerves are being frayed. Definitely consider changing your hairstylist; it can’t go on like this.

Let me tell you straight, hair growth oil would be amazing. Research quick growth products like coconut or horse tail oil. Additionally, do regular massages; it stimulates the hair roots.

Well, they say that cutting the ends more often helps the hair to grow better. Maybe that’s why she did it? Anyway, hairdressers know what they’re doing, so don’t worry.. :smiling_face_with_tear:

No way, that’s wrong. Cutting more doesn’t make it grow faster; this has been talked about a lot already. Only the damaged parts should be trimmed. The person in question is right, people should first cater to the customer’s wishes :neutral_face:

But I’m going to ask you something. Did the hairdresser really make a mistake, or could they have thought maybe you could be a bit more daring? You know how sometimes they don’t mean any harm but they just want to try something… I think they were testing whether short hair would suit your face.

First of all, thank you for the advice. Additionally, let me point out that the hairstylist said “it would be nicer this way” but I mentioned that I don’t want to go short. I might try hair growth oils. I was really feeling down about it, and your suggestions are comforting.

To be honest, this feeling is common with short hair. If you show some patience for a few weeks, it will settle down. Oils and vitamin supplements are nice, but with regular care, the difference will be noticed more quickly. Also, choose a shampoo suitable for your hair type. Otherwise, the breakage will continue.

Did they cut a specific model then? I mean, could they have turned it into another style instead of just taking it from the edge? Like, if they did a V cut instead of a straight cut, we can at least explain that :woman_facepalming:
