Something similar happened to me; they said they would take a little off the ends and made it super short. I definitely didn't go back to that hairdresser. Maybe now you could try a short style for a while; I think it's better than remembering it unpleasantly and being upset.

Speak up and express your discomfort; if they do the same thing again, you won't go back. Besides, maybe they'll apologize and make it right, a chance is worth giving.
