The other day, an old photo of mine that could be considered a bit private was shared in the family WhatsApp group. It was shared by my cousin. They literally wrote, 'look who this is' as if making fun of me. I was shocked; I thought I hadn't shared such a personal photo with anyone other than my mom. How could they do something like this, and why? Should I confront them about it or just ignore it?
it's an incredibly frustrating situation. something similar happened to me too. my cousin showed my old high school photo to my mom. I felt really weird. I called her directly and told her not to do it again. I think talking about it is a must 😂
How special could a photo be? I mean, if it's something to be hidden, then the reaction makes sense, but if it's just an ordinary thing, maybe you're overreacting.

this situation seems like a violation of privacy. usually, people find such things funny and share them, but if it feels personal to someone, getting consent is very important. it's beneficial to talk directly to your cousin about this boundary. if you don't want to share a sensitive part of yourself, make sure to express that.
