My guest saw my pad box

My sister put my pads in the guest bathroom because there wasn’t any space in the bathroom cabinet. One of our family friends saw them when they opened the cabinet yesterday. They winked at my mom and asked, ‘Are these here?’ My mom brushed it off a bit flustered, but I was really embarrassed. Do you think it’s worth making a big deal out of it or am I being too sensitive?

This same thing happened to me last year. I had put it in the guest bathroom, and my friend’s mom saw it. She told another friend, and it turned into quite a bit of gossip. I was really embarrassed, but thinking about it, it’s just a pad, after all, a necessity. I think you shouldn’t worry about it, it’s not a big deal.

Why did your mom feel the need to explain to the guest? I mean, there’s nothing to be ashamed of, why should she respond upset?

@gamze34 My mom is a bit sensitive about these things. That guest is the type to stick their nose into everything anyway. I think my mom got tense because she knew he would make a snide remark :sweat_smile:

@hilalcik So what, should we just brush it off saying it’s normal for there to be gossip? After all, people should be careful in their surroundings. It’s the guest bathroom, after all.

In our neighborhood, people immediately talk about such things, honestly, it looks normal from a distance, but you wouldn’t want to be the topic of anyone’s gossip. You learn over time not to put it in the guest bathroom. :melting_face:
