I get uncomfortable when a movie is made about deceased celebrities
When I saw that Barış Akarsu's life was being made into a movie, I thought the same thing again. One part of me wants the memory of someone beloved since my childhood to live on, while another part feels like the pain of every person lost too soon is being marketed as a movie, concert, album, or nostalgia.
There were many who loved him, I have no objection to that. But sometimes I wonder, "Is there really a story worth telling, or is it just being done to make people cry?" Do you see such biographical films as a way to keep the memory alive, or is it a bit of emotional exploitation?
