I experienced exactly the same thing. My cousin had also seen my girlfriend, took a photo, and sent it to my mom. I seriously didn't speak with my mom for a week. Then I had to introduce my girlfriend to my mom, but I directly talked about my aunts. If you're going to say something, why take a photo anyway? It's rude.
Is it always like this with you? Did they emphasize it as a group instead of telling your mom directly before the family group?

@camkenari I think you might be overreacting a bit. In essence, everyone is acting with good intentions, after all, how wouldn't your family know about your significant other?
I think your mother's reaction is more interesting than your aunt's. Why is she questioning your girlfriend directly? Maybe your aunt said something different in front of her, there’s no guarantee 🤷♀️
this is clearly an invasion of privacy. you should speak directly and express your discomfort. if they do it again, you might consider setting some clear boundaries so that everyone knows their limits.
