I got a positive test, but did my girlfriend think I was lying?

Friends, I was late, I took a test and it showed two lines. When I told my girlfriend, I froze for a moment, then she said, 'Are you kidding me?' Now I don't know what to think. Do you think this is a momentary shock reaction, or is she not taking it seriously? How should one behave in such a situation?

I once did a test and told my girlfriend when I saw the double line, just like you did. Her first reaction was disbelief, she said, 'Are you kidding me?' Later on, as we sat down and talked calmly, she understood the situation. I think it’s just a state of shock, talk to her again but seriously.

If you got the test from the pharmacy, that's not enough; you should see a doctor right away. Let it be clarified with a blood test. Try to explain it calmly to them by saying directly, "You might be shocked, but this is a serious matter."

So is your partner usually like this? I mean, does he/she make silly comments in stressful situations? Or is this the first time they've reacted this way? I think it's a bit of a character matter.

So on one hand, I understand her reaction; hearing it suddenly makes people go crazy, but on the other hand, this is an important matter. In my friend group, it was generally said that in such situations, people would go straight to the doctor for a checkup, so that the seriousness could be seen when the topic comes up.

These matters require seriousness. You don't talk about them with your partner first; you discuss it with the family, then with the male side... It's a serious issue because what will society say afterward? This isn't something to joke about; be careful.

It is common for partners to not react appropriately immediately to such news. There is a shock and denial stage, and initial reactions can sometimes be unconscious. It may take time for them to process emotionally. Nonetheless, it's important to manage this process through open communication.

Some of you have asked, my girlfriend is usually a very relaxed person, but she panics a bit about serious things. We talked again yesterday, this time she was calmer and asking questions, but she still seems unsure of what to do.

My daughter, calmness is important in situations like this. It might seem like a thoughtless reaction, but sometimes men can't find an immediate solution. First, make sure to take care of your health, let a doctor see you. These matters aren't easy, but don't let yourself get upset.

But I wonder how you said it? The way you conveyed the news is important. The guy might not have understood if you were joking or serious. Plus, it's a good idea to see a doctor before making any definite conclusions, right? It could even be a false positive.
