I'm hiding my irregular period from my family, is it necessary to see a doctor?

I've been experiencing irregular periods for a long time, but I'm hesitant to tell my family. I never bring it up because my mom panics right away. But I'm starting to get worried; it feels like I need to see a doctor. Is there anyone else in this situation? How can I find a solution without involving my family?

I also had a bit of irregular period recently, I was very stressed. The doctor said it was due to vitamin deficiency. It might not be something to be scared of, but I think it's essential to go for a clear solution. A small private gynecology clinic could make you feel more comfortable.

You don't have to tell your family, but you must see a doctor because this won't resolve on its own. Make an appointment with the gynecology department. If you have SGK, the state hospital will work for you. The examination goes smoothly, don't be afraid.

I don't think it's right to keep secrets from the patient. I mean, it's more reasonable for your mom to panic than to be afraid of something. After all, it's health, so no one should act like they're not a mom 😅

Menstrual irregularities can sometimes indicate a condition like polycystic ovary syndrome. Therefore, a clear blood test and ultrasound are recommended. However, they can also sometimes stem from stress or weight changes. I think it's a good idea to see a gynecologist and have your hormones checked.

Update: Guys, you were right, I've decided to go to the doctor. But the thing is, how do I tell my mom? I didn't mention it properly. Do I need to come up with a lie, maybe?

I feel like there’s another hesitation here. I mean, you’re saying your mom will panic, but do you think she won’t understand you? Or that she’ll blow it out of proportion? Could something like that happen?

I don't understand, you thought "a solution without the family is enough" but then you say "is going to the doctor necessary?" Well, the doctor will tell you that you need to go. I don't get this way of thinking.
