My period is late, could I be pregnant or is it just stress?

My period has always been regular, but it's been 10 days late this month. Honestly, I'm a bit scared because I had a moment with my boyfriend, but I think it was safe. Now, a thousand scenarios are running through my mind. I'm going through a stressful time, but I can't ignore the possibility of pregnancy either. Do you think I should take a test or wait a little longer?

I think you should take a test right away to relieve yourself. I was also late by about 8 days once, and I panicked a lot. But the test came back negative, and I got my period the next day. Just thinking about it can delay things, you know?

Grab a pregnancy test from the pharmacy right away. It's more accurate if you do it with your first urine of the morning. There's no need to stress unnecessarily, first eliminate the possibility.

But you're saying 'safe' with your girlfriend, yet there's a risk in every possibility. When things like this happen outside of marriage, it doesn't feel comfortable at all. I wish you hadn't experienced it before; now you're afraid with regret. Not everything can be solved with a test, either.

It's true that stress can disrupt the menstrual cycle, but 10 days is still a significant period. Symptoms similar to those of pregnancy can also occur before menstruation. If your menstrual period is 10 days late, urine tests usually provide reliable results, but you should definitely visit a gynecologist for a definitive diagnosis.

Let me give you a bit more detail. Actually, we had a method of protection, but I don't feel at ease. I'm not experiencing things like premenstrual symptoms this time. I'm not sure if it's stress. I'll probably take a test.

I think it would be better if you talked about this openly with your girlfriend because the situation doesn't just end with taking a test. If the result is positive, both of you will need to think together. But you mentioned that there are no symptoms of your period, which is interesting. Usually, hormonal changes can be noticed a day or two in advance.
