The pandemic has not been good for my skin, has it happened to you too?

I've noticed something very interesting: wearing a mask constantly during the pandemic seems to have seriously damaged my skin. I'm getting pimples on my chin and cheeks, and my skin isn't as smooth as it used to be. Is it just me, or is there really such a thing as skin affected by the pandemic? What are you all doing about it?

I've had the same thing happen, especially loads of pimples came out on my chin because of the mask. If you have sensitive skin, changing the mask frequently makes a bit of a difference. I also started applying antiseptic tonic on my face, and that helped too.

I recommend seeing a dermatologist to solve this. But if you don't have the opportunity to go, apply a water-based moisturizer on your face before wearing the mask. It reduces friction inside the mask.

Are you really using the pandemic as an excuse? If you don't pay enough attention to skin care, this is what happens even if you don't wear a mask. For example, how many hours do you wear the same mask? You haven't mentioned that at all.

With the pandemic, there's something called 'maskne' that can occur due to masks and hygiene changes, leading to an increase in acne. The fabric of the mask you use is also important; I suggest trying those made from cotton. However, if the situation persists, you should consult a dermatologist.

Let me give you an update: I'm actually changing my masks, I put on a new one every day. I do pay attention to my hygiene, but it seems like my face gets more irritated the more I wear the mask. To be honest, I don't use moisturizer much either; I guess I need to give it a try 😬

Let me be clear, it's ridiculous that women are expected to constantly solve these kinds of skin issues. Even things like masks affect our skin, and I wish the reasons behind this were researched and the right products developed. But once again, women are left to search for solutions.
