Should we do a social media detox or just go with the flow?

Recently, my follower count has been steadily declining, and people have started to act really ridiculous, like it's full of trolls. I'm confused; I'm tired of spending too much time on social media. But if I quit, I fear I'll feel like I'm missing out on something. Has anyone done this before? Does it really work?

I did it, I used my phone only for work for two months. For the first few days, I definitely felt like I was addicted, my hand kept reaching for it. But then it became relaxing, not exactly a feeling of emptiness, more like a mental clarity 🤭

I found it strange that you see this as a serious problem. Why do you have so much control over social media? Is what you're missing really that important? People are just trolling, these are actually small things.

A social media detox can really be effective, but going completely cold turkey isn't feasible for everyone. First, I recommend tracking your screen time for about a week to analyze where you're spending your time. Then, gradually reducing your usage could be a solution, rather than making a radical change.

I've noticed that it’s hard for me not to pick up my phone because everything revolves around it throughout the day. Work emails, weather updates, food orders, and so on. So I thought that if I tried to cut back a bit, it might be a more realistic approach.

But I want to ask one more thing, for example, you can check the weather from a computer, and ordering food is definitely possible from another place too. It feels like excuses to me. I think you should try to quit completely, at least for a while.
