Always laughing on the phone, is she hiding something?

My spouse has been spending a lot of time on their phone lately, and sometimes they laugh to themselves. At first, I didn’t pay much attention to it, but I noticed they started placing the phone face down all the time. When I asked, they say, 'There are funny things happening at work, you’re overreacting.' But it’s eating away at me — is it really work-related or is there something else going on? Am I just being paranoid?

I had a similar situation happen to me, my spouse was always getting caught laughing at their phone. They said it was work-related or something, and I couldn't make sense of it. It turns out they had set up a group with some old friends on WhatsApp and they were constantly joking around. Just ask them directly; if it's bothering you, you'll feel better 😂

I think just say it plainly. Look them directly in the eye and say, 'It's bothering me, why are you being contrary?' If they give evasive answers, the situation will change. But ask without raising your voice, so it doesn't come across as insecurity 🙄

I'm going to say something; if the guy said it was about business, maybe it is. You find meaning in everything, and then no one has any peace for no reason. So what if he placed his phone upside down, what does that mean? It's a strange logic.

I noticed something like this; it's not really something that's always off, but it felt strange at that moment. Not being able to see content might have annoyed me. It doesn't happen often, but it still feels odd.

Topics like this usually stem from a lack of communication. If it's not comforting when you talk about it, trust can be lost. This, in turn, affects the overall health of your relationship. You might even consider speaking with a family counselor, acting as a mediator 🫣

The moment you see the phone upside down drives you crazy, that feeling is very familiar. There's always that sense of 'what is being hidden.' But maybe it really is related to the work. Still, if you don't want to live with that doubt inside, calmly deepen the conversation.

To be honest, if someone in the neighborhood told this story, they would say, 'there's definitely something going on.' A married person should avoid actions that could lead to such things. One should show respect to their family. I think it's best to just sit down and talk like a grown-up.
