Experiencing follower loss or giving in to trolls?

For the past few days, someone has officially been meddling with my social media. They are both stealing my content and leaving troll comments underneath. I blocked them, but they somehow keep returning with different accounts. My follower count has also seriously dropped during this time. Do you think I should continue producing content in situations like this, or should I take a break for a while? I'm really uncertain.

What you described sounds very familiar to me. My profile was also harassed like this last year. I changed my password and stopped sharing content for about two days. The harassment seriously decreased. Maybe you should try it, it might help.

I experienced the same thing! In fact, this troll crew was leaving links under every one of my posts. Back then, I had set the comments to require approval. It was a lot of work, but at least my mood wasn't affected 🥲

Loss of followers has become a concern, but have you noticed? If you want to attract people's attention, you need to be calm about such incidents. You will both create content and be prepared for the ugly side of the job.

The fact that your content is being stolen here is, as you said, actually a good sign. It means you are making an impact. However, if we call it 'social media management', handling crisis moments is also part of the job. You need to establish a line for everything: comments, DMs, even your follower base. Blocking is the first step, but I also recommend researching copyright policies.

I honestly wasn't expecting such a quick reply, thanks. They keep responding from different accounts, I think I'll try to tie it to the approval. Anyway, the follower count will probably get back to normal in about a week 😂

No, I think this is illogical: Don't those who attack you win when you stop sharing? They realize that you've stepped back, and maybe they come at you even harder afterward. You need to send a clearer message that 'this is played by my rules,' in my opinion.
