I should go to therapy but my friends make fun of me
I've had anxiety and self-confidence issues for a long time, but I can no longer cope. I've finally decided to go to therapy, but I'm afraid of what those around me will say. The fear of 'what will they think' has settled in my mind. My family, in particular, is very old-fashioned and believes that going to a psychologist is a sign of weakness. What do you think I should do about this? Can I defend this decision, or should I keep it a secret?
