He got sulky when I said I would go alone

My friend is getting married and my girlfriend and I weren't invited. They only called me. I told them I would go to the wedding alone, but then they started asking who I would be sitting with and who I would be dancing with. After that, they said, "You know best," and started talking in a sulky way. I'm not sure if they're acting this way because they are jealous of me or if they're trying to control themselves. What would you think in a situation like this?

I think he's making a fuss for no reason. Going to the wedding alone isn't that big of a deal 🫣

I've experienced a similar situation; they had a tantrum in the same way. But later, they said they felt insecure. I think you should sit down and talk, it will clear things up.

Actually, this isn't the first time. When I'm going somewhere with friends, they also ask who I'm sitting with. But deep down, he's a really good person, so I didn't know how to balance that.

Seventy percent of these topics revolve around the axis of 'is he/she jealous or checking up on me?' Don't you think that's a bit cliché? If everyone could just take a breather and create a little personal space, these issues wouldn't persist.
