Are you secretly eating 1100 calories?

When sharing calories with friends, everyone suddenly drops to around 1100-1200 calories. But then I see secret snacking on sweets and such. Is there anyone among you who diets without lying? Honestly, I sometimes can't resist snacking, but I admit it. Or is everyone just fooling themselves?

I honestly experienced the same thing. I said I was on 1200 calories, but at night I was secretly stuffing my face with chocolate. At first, you feel ashamed, but then I thought, since I'm eating it, I might as well plan for it. I started tracking my weekly calories, which helped reduce the guilt.

But why are you lying just to impress your friends? If you're losing weight, they'll notice anyway. I think it's more sensible to be honest with yourself than with them.

In fact, the reason for such frequent snacking is often the choice of a low-calorie target. 1100-1200 calories is very low; you can set a higher limit as long as you don't fall below your basal metabolic rate. This way, both your body and mind will be more balanced.

You're right actually, friends create a bit of stress. They work with a dietitian, I just track through the app. How does the weekly calorie system work exactly? Maybe I can learn about that? 🤔

Let's be honest, we all do this, right? It's not exactly a guilty pleasure, but the thing of leaving some details out is really common. No one honestly says, "I ate 5 chocolates today." I think it's pretty normal 🫣

Our girls do the same. Lunch is salad, and in the evening, you find them at Starbucks with pastries. But when anyone asks, they say, 'I had lemon water.' It sounds ridiculous, but there's this constant competition to show off to each other.
