Made a doctor's appointment without talking to my mom

I’ve been with my fiancée for two years and our wedding is approaching. The other day, without saying much, she took me to the doctor, where we were supposed to discuss birth control methods. To be honest, I didn’t like it at all. Shouldn’t we talk about things like this first? Do you think it’s normal for her to get involved in this topic before the wedding?

I think it was a bit hasty for your fiancé to take you straight to the doctor. These things, especially birth control, should be discussed first. To be honest, I wasn’t surprised at all that you were so shocked.

Did he do this for the first time? Has he tried to make decisions for you before? It’s important because.

@kirmizikazak did something like this before, but my mom also agreed with him. Because of him, he took the initiative in other things without telling me :upside_down_face:

but now these kinds of topics are talked about when you’re engaged. you can’t completely stay out of it either. I think you’re feeling a bit sensitive before the wedding

Now you need to speak openly in this situation. You can choose birth control, and so can they. If this continues like this, make your boundaries clear. You can say, ‘This falls into my decision.’

Yeah, okay, the wedding is approaching and all, but I think the groom’s side should be more considerate in these matters. In our family, we always have this mindset of ‘you need to watch your boundaries’ :face_exhaling:.

@soncaykaldi I don’t think this is normal. Just because the wedding is approaching, a guy can’t pressure his fiancée this much. Does he have issues with his mother? I’m sure his mom is behind this, pumping him up :joy:

Decisions like birth control are important both as a couple and individually. Generally, it’s better for women to go to a gynecologist individually for their health. If you express this calmly to your fiancé, it will be easier for him to understand.
