I’ve been talking to someone for about 2.5 months. I mean, we message each other every day, they’re writing really sweet things, but they’ve never suggested meeting up. I want to ask about this situation, but I’m scared; what if they don’t take it seriously? Do you think I should continue waiting, or is it time to talk and clarify things? Has anyone experienced situations like this?

7I experienced something like this too. I talked to someone for about 3 months, they were very interested but never made a move to meet. In the end, I asked, and it turned out they were seeing someone else but it hadn’t definitely ended. I think you should talk directly and find out, otherwise it keeps gnawing at your mind.
I think it’s best to clarify things. You could ask something like, ‘We talk all the time, but why aren’t we meeting? Is there a special reason?’ That way, you’ll have let it all out, and there’s nothing to be upset about ![]()
You are so right, messaging every day and thinking about it really wears you out. I’m sure you check if they wrote you first thing in the morning. That uncertainty just eats away at you from the inside.
But why are you only blaming the guy? Maybe he thinks you didn’t express your expectations clearly either. Is it really that hard to say ‘do you want to meet?’ in 2.5 months?
If they’re not suggesting a meet-up at all, two things could be happening: they might be really shy, or they’re trying to establish a connection through messaging but aren’t ready for a relationship yet. Still, if this much time has passed, a little nudge is needed ![]()
Update: Guys, I asked them why they didn’t take me up on the meeting offer. They said things like, ‘I’m not used to this kind of thing, I don’t like to rush.’ Honestly, I’m even more confused now.
There’s something else going on here. Either they are seriously managing someone else, or they have had a bad experience in the past and are taking everything slow. So, that might be a thing ![]()
