A doctor had told me something like this too; I had gone for irregular periods. I had a cyst, but jokes can really be bothersome. The doctor is very important, so if they don't suit you, I suggest you change.

The doctor-patient relationship is a sensitive matter. For some patients, such jokes may soften the relationship, while for others, it can be a boundary violation. If you felt uncomfortable, it would be healthier not to continue with that doctor.
