Today I went to the pharmacy to get a pregnancy test. I got to the counter, I was about to ask, and then I realized the pharmacist was from our neighborhood and greeted my dad and all. I got incredibly tense, but going to another shop seemed like it would attract even more attention. Anyway, I leaned in slightly and asked him; he literally raised his eyebrows and gave me a weird look. I got the test, but I still feel the weight of that look on me. It feels like I’m going to embarrass myself in the neighborhood. Am I overthinking this?
