I once had the same thing happen in front of the grocery store, I was buying medicine but people started coming up with their own stories in their heads. I couldn't even explain; my family heard it and all. It's a terrible feeling, I understand.

It's perfectly normal to get a test from the pharmacy. People are focused on their own lives anyway, and your neighbor might have misunderstood or thought of something else. They might not even realize it's a pregnancy test.
