My crush said 'it can't happen,' is it just an urban legend?

While talking about some topics with my last date, they said so seriously, "If it stands up, it doesn't matter" that... I thought they were joking, but apparently they were serious. Could something like this actually happen? Is it some sort of protection method? Is there really someone who believes in such a thing? Honestly, I found it very strange, but I didn't show it. Please enlighten me if you have any information; otherwise, I won't be able to sleep tonight.

Don't believe in stuff like that. It has nothing to do with standing or anything; as long as there's no protection, the risk is always there. I'm not a healthcare professional, but this is a pretty well-known misconception. I think you should talk openly about these issues with your partner because misunderstandings can cause problems later on.

I know it sounds ridiculous, but one of my friends believed in something like that too. They said if you're standing, it wouldn't happen because of the effect of gravity or something. But then someone else made fun of it, saying "it's not a gravity protection method." Seriously, there are people who actually say this.

On the contrary, in unprotected situations, it increases the risk of infection and unwanted outcomes. If they believe such misinformation, they really need to consult an expert. You might even suggest a test; they may be unaware of certain things.

This issue is partly because people are embarrassed to talk about it openly. No one in the neighborhood really discusses it directly. There's always a lot of misinformation going around. If people could be educated instead of believing things like 'oh, it's when standing or moving,' this wouldn't happen 😅
