Late period and fear of suspected pregnancy

Guys, my period is 10 days late and I can't sleep because of the stress. I want to speak openly; I was using protection with my boyfriend, but all sorts of scenarios come to mind. I don't want to take a test because I'm scared it might not give a correct result or that something bad might happen. What should I do in a situation like this? Can you suggest a way to relieve my worries? Do you think the test will give a definitive result?

I think you should just get a test from the pharmacy and do it with your first urine in the morning. These tests are usually very reliable, they say around 99%. Don't stress yourself out or be scared; even if something bad comes up, knowing early is always better.

Sweetheart, a 10-day delay is usually a bit long, but sometimes stress messes up this routine. But the test is essential. If the result is negative, go see a gynecologist right away. It will ease your mind and if there's any other issue, it can be resolved early.

You say you’re afraid of the test, but you say we were being protected. Even though you’re so sure, if you’re still avoiding the test, I think you’re afraid of something else. Are you worried about your relationship with your boyfriend or the pressure from your surroundings rather than pregnancy?

A delayed period can be due to many reasons, and stress is an important factor in this regard. However, the reliability of pregnancy tests when used correctly is around 99%. Testing with the first urine in the morning and being sure is always a step ahead. If the test is negative but you're still not getting your period, it could be a hormonal issue, so it's a good idea to consult a doctor.

I should update you, I took a test in the morning and it came back negative, but I'm still feeling stressed. My period hasn't started either. I want to talk to my boyfriend, but it seems like he might be a bit uncomfortable. Do you think I should talk to him anyway?
