I keep messing things up because of night crises, is this normal?

While everyone wants to lose weight, is it just me who constantly experiences hunger crises like this? I have a nice dinner, and around 10 PM I crave sweets or snacks like crazy. I can't resist and end up eating, then in the morning I don't even have breakfast out of guilt. How can I break this cycle? Do you have any experiences to share?

I was experiencing the same thing, especially between 10 and 11 o'clock when a huge chocolate craving would hit. I tried fennel tea, which helped calm me down a bit. Also, I didn't completely eliminate sweets from my life, but I started to spread them out throughout the day. It significantly reduced my evening cravings.

I experienced the same thing; my problem was caused by staying up too long without eating. I had my dinner a bit late. Of course, that meal was decent, like a soup and a bit of salad. It's not an instant solution, but it works in the long run 🥲

I mean, I'm sorry, but this situation seems a bit related to willpower as well. In the end, you're the one choosing to eat just because you're craving something after 10. I think you need to learn to control yourself; tolerance and all that are just a story at some point.

Do you eat more protein or carbohydrates at dinner? If carbohydrates are dominant, your blood sugar may drop quickly, triggering these hunger crises. You should consider consulting a nutritionist, as a recurring situation like this can be a sign of an eating disorder.

Actually, if I find time in the morning, I could prepare a nice breakfast and eat healthily, but I never feel up to it when I wake up. Throughout the day, with work stress and all, I can’t seem to get used to eating normally. That’s why I guess I crash in the evening.

When you wake up in the morning, that guilt part is really tough. You keep beating yourself up with "I wish I hadn't done that," but at that moment, you can't think of anything else while your heart is aching. Having such a conflict within yourself must be exhausting 🤷‍♀️

But if you're not having breakfast in the morning, it means you're starting your day off unbalanced. To be honest, it feels a bit like laziness. Everything is about order; if you manage to find time in the morning, maybe you won't have a crisis at night.

You shouldn't accept this and live like that. If you don't have a proper routine, your health will deteriorate. Then both your job and life will be affected. In our house, meal times are always set; there's no situation like having a midnight sweet craving. Even if we have little time, the table is set.

I had gained a lot of weight due to nighttime snacking for a while, even my spouse noticed it. Now I eat sweets at both lunch and dinner at the same time, but in moderation. By the time night comes, I'm already satisfied, and I've really pulled it together 😐
