The manager's gaze at work is unsettling, what should I do?

I just started a new job, but my boss's looks and implications make me very uneasy. If I go to HR, will they do something, or should I be worried about being talked about behind my back? Does anyone know what to do in these situations?

I experienced the same thing; I was really feeling it in the office. I went to HR, but nothing happened; they subtly suggested I keep a good relationship with my manager. In the end, I found another job because the situation doesn't improve without a change of environment.

I think you should talk to your family about these things without blowing them up. Changing jobs or something would be more beneficial, because looking at it this way won’t end well. Honestly, a person would feel uneasy thinking they’re being talked about behind their back, you’re right.

I think there's something else going on here; it's not just about the looks. Does the manager treat someone else this way, or is it specifically towards you? Or could it be that they are testing you a bit? 🙄

My daughter, if she were my daughter, wouldn't just stand there in a situation like this. She should go straight up to that person and make it clear that she's uncomfortable; if she bows her head and accepts it, they'll come at her even more. Don't let yourself be eaten away without taking action.

Actually, these kinds of things happen frequently in workplaces; it's always talked about how managers overstep professional boundaries. However, for you to do anything legally, you definitely need concrete evidence; just looks and insinuations are not sufficient grounds.

Let me add this too, I don't know if they're trying to put me down just because I'm new. But when I keep looking at it from the same perspective, I realize that it's not normal. I wanted to tell them to their face, but I froze in my place 🤷‍♀️

Your employment contract and company policies usually have a procedure for such situations; the HR department generally handles these matters. However, if the process is not handled fairly, you can consult a lawyer and follow a path that is suitable for both your job and your legal rights.

But I have to say one thing, maybe the manager has another intention? You mentioned implications; maybe he's forcing you to speak openly? I think we shouldn't look at it purely with bad intentions, but be cautious of the people around you 🫠

I honestly think you're overthinking a bit. I'm saying this just because you mentioned something about implications; maybe the guy is just trying to have a normal conversation, but you might have misunderstood. I suggest you make sure first.
