Friends, I got suspicious because my period is 9 days late, and my husband said, “I’ll buy a pregnancy test,” and I agreed. But then he went and wrote in the family WhatsApp group, “Get ready, I bought a test.” Now everyone is messaging me, asking, “Is there a pregnancy?” I haven’t even taken the test yet; is it normal for him to announce it this early? I’m very embarrassed.
It’s silly to notify without testing, why the rush?
I experienced something similar; ours had already spread all over the neighborhood before the first child. The result was negative, which was another embarrassment.
the family group is a bit of a chaotic environment as well, does your spouse do things like this often?
@camkenari isn’t actually doing it for the first time; they’re an excited person, but this was too much ![]()
@uykuarasi don’t be so sure it will come out negative, after all, the person asking is suspicious.
this privacy issue is serious; announcing it to the family even before a test could be considered a breach of boundaries. You need to have a small talk.
I think people exaggerate family groups a lot, does everything written there have to be a big deal?
