Hairdresser officially charged 10 cm instead of 2 cm

I went to the hairdresser to get my split ends trimmed; I wanted the breakage to go away. I specifically said, 'just take off 2 cm,' but when I got home, I realized at least 8-10 cm was cut! I must not have noticed it in the mirror at the salon, and now I can't believe the state of my hair. I've been growing it out for so long, and now it's completely ruined. Do you think I should go back and say something, or is it already done? I'm tying my hair up, but when I look in the mirror, it really brings my mood down.

I had a similar situation last year. I specifically said to only take the breaks. The guy took 15 cm! I think you should go back and talk to them, at least let them know that you're aware. They can fix themselves 🙄

Sorry, but how didn't you notice in the mirror at the hairdresser? What can you say now after not intervening back then?

I didn't notice it as if I had seen it in the mirror because my hair was really messy while I was combing it; since it was long, it was kept up. Later on, when it hung down, I noticed.

I think it's really annoying when the hairdresser says "it turned out very well." One would expect a customer to be listened to; how can they decide for you? It's downright insulting. If you don't react, it'll just eat away at you inside. 🫢

When getting a long haircut, it's important that the hair stays healthy as much as it is about how many centimeters are cut. Sometimes, fully removing split ends means cutting a bit more. But of course, this cannot be done without informing the customer. The hairdresser may not have bad intentions, but there is a communication issue here.

@asya_kara but the customer can check in the mirror as well. After all, you're not just sitting there fainting.

I think it's all over, it'll drag on again. It's not worth getting upset about at all 🥲
