I literally walked out of the hair salon with a hat on

I haven't experienced this, but it happened to a friend of mine. Even though she said "take off 2 cm," they ended up cutting it quite short and adding layers. Then she went straight to another hairdresser to get it fixed, but it's just that initial shock 😳

Well, everyone blames the hairdresser here, but I think you've been a bit vague too. Saying "take off the ends" is too abstract; it needs to be clearly explained in centimeters.

Why did this hairdresser do such a thing to you? Is it the first time you've gone, or is it someone you knew before? Because there's a vibe that suggests it was done intentionally.

Actually, there should be constant communication with the customer during the cuts. Trained hairdressers usually get frequent approval from the customer using a mirror, but it seems this wasn't done. In this case, you can go to another hairdresser and request thin layers or styling if you wish.
